(Also, you're trying to hit the right height for the TV down to the cm - is that for when you're sitting up straight? or slouching down relaxed? How about the relative height of whoever will join you on the couch occasionally?) Run with the Arc sitting in front for a bit, look at the pile of pics that will show up here of the wall mounting bracket and exactly how it fits, and then figure out whether you want to wall mount it all, and how high up. It may fit better, or worse, than you're expecting. You're measuring things down to a few cm, but likely not taking into account things like, the Arc has an oval cross section. See how the pieces actually look when close to each other. You're welcome.įor reals though, wait until you get all the bits, run it for a bit with the Arc sitting where the Beam is (no drilling or repositioning bits). I might be totally overthinking this, but I’m a perfectionist when it comes to these things and want to do it right. Option #3 could be a possibility, but the Arc is only 43cm (seating height of sofa is 45cm) off the floor, isn’t that too low? Also, no hidden cables. If I go for #2, the TV wouldn’t be on ideal height, which I believe is more important than a soundbar on the ideal height? I’m just not sure how much importance the distance (10cm vs 14cm vs 18cm on cabinet) has and the info from Sonos is confusing. Slightly leaning towards #1 at the moment, because it would mean that my tv could be on ideal height, cables would be hidden in the wall and would cause an overall cleaner look.
Mount the TV a little higher to create more space for the Arc.ĭo not mount, put the Arc on top of the cabinet instead. Mount the Arc about 10cm under the tv, and about 7cm above the cabinet. However, on the forums 14cm is mentioned by a Sonos mod. On the web page for the Arc mount, Sonos states a distance of 10cm between Arc and TV. The Arc is about 9cm tall, that’s 17cm of space to play with. That leaves me with around 26cm of space in between the bottom of TV and the top of the cabinet. I prefer to wall mount the TV with its center on eye-level (approx 107cm), while the cabinet underneath the TV is about 43cm tall. I pre-ordered the new Sonos Arc and I’m planning to wall mount both of them as soon as I receive the Arc. I recently got a LG OLED 65C9, placed on a cabinet and in front of it I have a Sonos Beam.
